Saint Justin

Saint Justin was born in Nablus in 100 (AD). Most of what is known about Justin Martyrs life comes from his own writings. He was born to a pagan family. He had no brothers or sisters. His grandfathers name is Bacchius, which is a Greek name. But his fathers name, Priscus, is a Latin name. He went to a Greek school, so he got a Greek education. Well he was growing up he always heard voices. Confusing, loud voices. They asked him for the truth. He didnt know what it meant. But one day he heard a different voice. A softer voice (It was God). To get away from these voices he would walk on a road that looks like it was made for him. It stopped at a beautiful field next to the ocean. One time he went, he noticed that someone was following him. It was a old man. He said he wasnt looking for the truth. He was looking for his family. In his whole life he wrote eight books. His first to books: The apology and Dialogue with Trypho referred to Jesus and his storys a lot. For the first apology he sent it to Roman Emperor Antoninus Pius and he didnt really accept but when St. Justin sent the second apology he accepted it. The Dialogue with Trypho is a second-century Christian apologetic text. Justin's statements in his First Apology are some of the earliest Christian sayings on the Eucharist. He suffered the terrible death of getting beheaded. All because he stood up for whats right (being a Christian). He is considered a saint by the Roman Catholic Church, the Anglican Church, and the Eastern Orthodox Church.
