Explain the importance of good communication on projects and the need to develop soft skills, especially for IT project managers and their teams.

Effective project management requires good communication skills. Without a good communication, the team will have no idea of what their task or how to accomplish them. For the leader, (if they do not know what the team is doing or not doing) they will not be able to monitor the progress of the project.

The communication between the project leader and the customer are also very important. Maintaining open, regular and accurate communication with all levels of project staff and stakeholders.

As an IT project manager developing soft skill is much needed. Soft skill is needed to build a respectful and trusting working relationships. Positive outcomes depend on everyone playing their part. Effective communication is about much more than just getting the message across. The soft side of communication involves paying as much attention to your audience as to your message. IT professionals must also become multilingual.

Therefore a good communication in a project and soft skills development are essential especially for an It project manager and the team to ensure a smooth flow and the success of the project.
