Are Snack Times Necessary

Parents and teachers have recently been discussing about there childdrens lunch and snack times. Because, really are snack times necessary? Children only spend about 35 hours at school a week, and 5 hours of that is taken by recess, and a portion of that time they are not learning. Children should not have the right to be calling each other names, or physically contacting each other. It will be much better for children to have some kind of exercise, so they can have a break from lessons. Some children recently have just been talking in recess for the entire time. Let us think for a moment, chatting and having conversations can NOT be considered as a break. When I say pupils talking, well I dont expect them to have a silent recess, like a ninja. Well children have not really been using there playtime usefully. So that is another reason why snack time should not be needed. If the children really want to have a break from lessons,in my opinion I think they dont, teachers should set up limited equipment, such as, basket balls, jump (skipping) ropes, tennis balls for throwing and other physical equipment. There are two perspectives on this debate, for example if you asked a teacher who is on there rst year of teaching they would probably disagree with my idea. However if you asked a teacher who is there 20th or 30th year of teaching, you would get a totally different answer, and lets be honest who would you rather trust a teacher who is not experienced or an experienced teacher and more qualied? Duh, an experienced teacher. So no, no more play time for primary school - and kindergarden pupils.
