Modules at a Glance
1. Its All about Relationships In this module participants assess themselves on the effective use of the three key principles of the Whale Done! The Power of Positive Relationships philosophyBuilding Trust, Accentuating the Positive, and Redirecting Energy when Mistakes Are Made. Participants also map their most vital relationships and examine their beliefs about motivating people. Next, the basics of Whale Done! are described with an emphasis on the rst key principle Building Trust. 2. The ABCs of Performance Management In this module learners dene Activators, Behaviors, and Consequences and work through case studies to identify them in the real world. Responses to performance when it is on track or off track are described and motivation and feedback methods are emphasized. Participants work on important responses to behaviorthe Redirection Response and the Positive Whale Done! Response. 3. Rethinking Your GOTcha! History This module asks participants to consider all of the people that have helped them succeed in their lives and how they can, in turn, help others. The process of correcting GOTcha! behavior patterns is outlined and practiced, including The One Minute Apology. 4. MigratingMoving forward with Whale Done! In this nal module participants make a commitment! Time is spent working on an action plan, noting the visible signs that others will see to know that the workshop has resulted in a change in behavior; or participants plan and write praisings, redirections, or apologies. Workshop
Public workshops are open to groups or individuals, and on-site workshops are hosted at your organization. Dive deep into the key concepts of building trust, accentuating the positive, catching people doing things right, and redirecting energy. Participants will be led to explore these concepts with their own most vital relationships in mind. The deep dive includes work on motivation and the part it plays in our actions, the ABC Model of Performance Management, and the strategic use of activators and consequences. Sometimes we forget the positive people that have been examples to us when we get off track with our relationships. Participants will have the opportunity to plan how to undo GOTcha! history, as well as write and practice apologies, praising, and redirections that might be long overdue. A powerful guided activity brings positive role models from ones past to current consciousness to enable positive action planning for the future. Whale Done! The Power of Positive Relationships is an impactful, accelerated, skill-building whale-of-a-day!
