Dear Bhpians, One of the frustrating negatives of the cars of the last decade - Esteem/Zen is the inefficiency of windshield washer used. Water comes only in one direction which makes the process of cleaning the dirty windshield inefficient. Accidentally, I noticed that the nozzle used in Maruti Swift ( which pumps in 2 direction per nozzle ) will fit in correctly on Esteem as well. Changed it to swift's windshield cleaner nozzle and cleaning the windshield became all the more efficient.

I guess the same mod will work on Maruti Zen and 800 as well. Cost = Rs. 51/- per nozzle ( So, a total of Rs. 102/- ) for water pumping to 4 directions. :-) Thanks to Autoteam, Cochin who made this modification for me. Regards, Amal

Wow, this is nice. But is it possible for 800 also, will the water jets be inside the windscreen for an 800? As, swift has a wider windscreen.

It should be compatible with 800 too. Regarding water jets, you can calibrate it according to your requirement. So, narrower windscreen doesn't matter.

It should be Do it Yourself ? Yeah, it's simple to fix it. If it gets too tight, doing it under the supervision of a workshop personnel will be better.

hey nice install, can you tell me whether the nozzle bonnet hole had to be enlarged to fit the new nozzle?

Considering the pictures above, I guess I will have to modify my bonnet. Also there would be the OE washer hole, which will be unattended. hmmm... this would be a difficult affair, I guess.
