1 am requesting funding for police techno logy upgrades.

The entity 10 receive fundi ng for Ih is project is the Spri ngfield Police Department, 800 East Monroe
Street, Room 300, Springfield, IL 62701.

The fundin g wou ld be used to get onl ine with the stale wi de STARCOM21 radio system, provi de video
survei llance upgrades to the po lice firearm s range and weapons facility, and make computer and radio
upgrades.

I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any financial interest in this project.

I certi fy that this request wi ll be made publicly avai lable on my Official Website as required by Chainnan
Obey's new Committee policy that o nly posted requests will be considered .

Additionally, I hereby certify that to the best of my know ledge thi s request (I) is not directed to an entity
or program that wi ll be named after a sitting Member of Congress (2) is not intended to be used by an
entity to sec ure funds for other entities un less the lise of funding is consistent wi th the specified pu rpose
of the eannark ; and (3) meets or exceeds a ll statutory requirements for matching Funds where applicable .
