Welcome Parents and Guardians of the Coopersville Class of 2014

Date of the Event May 28, 2014 We would like to thank you in advance for your support and dedication towards making this a memorable event for the students and yourself. This sheet is to help understand what happens this year for the fund raising and the event called Senior All Night Party. What is the Senior All-night Party?

It is non alcoholic, drug free fun-filled chaperoned event. Students are transported by buses to and from the events for the night. All seniors are invited and encouraged to attend. It keeps seniors off the roads the night of graduation and lets them celebrate their accomplishments with fellow classmates over the last four years. What happens on the day of the All Nighter? Once checked in after graduation students will not be permitted to leave for safety reasons. A list of items will be sent home prior to the event with what the students will need to bring for the night based on the activities that are scheduled. They will be permitted to bring a bag to store their items in but the bags will be checked. Why do we need volunteers and how can I get involved? Can I give suggestions for things for the venue? We need volunteers to help collect donations for gift bags, do fund raising, plan for the event, participate in the event and share in the enthusiasm of the event for the student. We cannot do this without your help. Please find something that interest you and contact a committee member as soon as possible. Please offer any suggestions you have fund raisers, activities at the event or if you have a suggestion for a location. If you have a business service that you could provide at the event such as pedicure, nail polish, air brush tattoo please contact an Entertainment Committee member. How long does the event last? This information will be provided a couple of months before the event but it typically begins immediately following graduation and last until 6:00AM the next morning. Your student will need to be dropped off and picked up at the location indicated in the newsletter (which will probably be at the high school).
What do parents do at the party? They monitor exit doors, organize food and activities for the students. They also encourage participation in activities.

PLEASE SEE THE BACK OF THIS PAGE

How do you know how many parents/guardians to have at the event? Prior committees and the facility will recommend to us how many chaperones to have based on the size of the facility. Only students and chaperones are allowed at the event to keep track of what is going on that night. You will get contact information of all the chaperones if you need to get a hold of your student for any reason. What does it cost to go and how are the fees based? It cost $150 to go with no involvement in fund raising, $50 to go with involvement from family members in two
fund raising activities or sell 50 pies for the pie fund raiser and volunteer in another fund raising activity and there is no cost for your student to participate. The fees are based on prior committee figures and estimates for upcoming events. The cost covers the transportation to and from the event, the food and entertainment for the evening and the facility at which it is being held. Our goal is to have every student attend if a student cannot attend due to financial reasons please contact a committee member and it will be handled quietly. When is payment due and how do I sign up student up? November 1st, 2013 as deposit are required to reserve the facility and activities. Payments can be made tonight, dropped off in the high school office, or mailed to Keri Rogers 19646 Squires Rd, Conklin, MI 49403 with the check made payable to Coopersville SANP. How do I know what is going on each month for the fund raising and get information I need? What if I missed the meeting and want to help? A list of contact information is provided on this site. Please consider helping in any way you can.

What is this thing called Senior Treat and why doesnt it count towards fund raising activities? Once a month a group of parents sign up to bring a treat to the senior class (approx 200 students). This can be
brownies, ice cream, donuts . Etc., whatever is the theme or idea for the month. It is for all seniors regardless if they are going to the all nighter or not. It does not raise any money nor do any funds from the fund raising go towards the treat. It is simply a fun thing for seniors to look forward to each month. When you sign up you can also come to the school and hand out the treat (promptly at 10:05AM and 11:15AM) if you would like or you may just donate money or make or buy a treat to have someone hand out.

We would like to thank the school for all their support, the PTA for their donation, you as parents, friends and family members for supporting your student and everyones efforts in this event. We are all VERY proud of the Coopersville Class of 2014. All Night Committee
