Thursday, June 22, 2006, 1300 HRS ( 1 P.M ) Neelam View Hotel,
Muzaffarabad

Dear Sir,
As part of its efforts to promote and strengthen access to humanitarian
information in earthquake affected areas, Internews Pakistan has decided to donate
equipment to the press clubs to assist professional journalism. Your organization, Press
for Peace has been chosen as one of the beneficiaries of this initiative.

Internews Pakistan is a media assistance organization and the grant is consistent

with the objectives of its Pakistan Emergency Information Project (PEIP) for the
earthquake affected areas. The project is funded by UK ’s Department for International
Development (DfID) and Swiss Development Corporation (SDC).

You are cordially invited to an equipment grant ceremony on Thursday, June

22, 2006 1300 hours (1 P.M) at Neelam View Hotel, Muzaffarabad. Invitations are
being sent to the three elected office bearers of each of the beneficiary press clubs as per
our telephonic consultation. It is important that all three office bearers from each of the
press clubs are present in the ceremony to receive the equipment. You will be paid a
standard amount for your travel expense if you are coming from outside Muzaffarabad.

You will be required to make arrangements for transportation of the equipment

back to your press clubs. The equipment includes a desktop computer and a fax machine.
Each of the three office bearers from beneficiary press clubs will be required to sign a
document for transfer of ownership of the equipment to the press clubs.

I look forward to seeing you at the event.

Best regards,

Matiullah Jan
