CHAPTER NO.

1 INTRODUCTION
Handarm vibration (HAV) is vibration transmitted to the ha nd and arm during the operation of hand-held power tools and hand-guided equipment, or holding materials be ing Processed by machines. Handarm vibration is commonly experienced by workers who regularly use tools such as jack hammers, c chainsaws, grinders, drills, riveters and impact Wrenches s. These vibration which are transmitted into hand causes various effect on the hand such as finger whitening, hand grip loss etc. Hence it is necessary to measure the vibration transmitted into hand in a excess limit .Here we are going to measure the vibration transmitted into vibrations by considering various body posture such as straight forward, with inclination of 45 degree,90 degree ,135 degree and 180 degree. Then afterward we will suggest which will be the most suitable position for doing the particular task. These will be helpful for further implementation in future with feedback control system for controlling vibration while it crosses the maximum limit. Apart from these will also consider different material for drilling. This research will be helpful for the employees who are continuously dealing with vibratory equipments and with recommendations of the limit vibration they ca n a void vibration up to some extent. The main purpose behind this research is to provide vibrations working area for healthy environment. Workers who are repeatedly exposed to intense hand-transmitted vibration are at risk of developing health problems. To better assess these health risks, handtool coupling forces should be evaluated. The need for assessing hand arm vibrations risks associated with exposures to hand-transmitted vibration are well established. It is also well known that the amount of vibration actually transmitted to the handarm system is dependent on the coupling forces Tool grip and push forces are important determinants of health risk associated with operation of powered hand tools. In the field, use of sophisticated hand-force instrumentation can be impractical. This study investigated the potential for using psychophysical force recall methods to estimate grip and push forces when operating vibratory hand tools. This study
