Step 3: (Skip this step if you do not have a TV-in-Motion Unit)

This end connects to the back of the RNS 510

Identify connections on the TV-in-Motion Unit:

Align and slide the connector into the back of the RNS 510, and close 90 Deg. Clip

Step 4:

Cover kitchen knife with cloth and gently pry the cardholder out:

The four (4) clips of the cardholder are pictured above. This should help you place your knife while prying.

Step 5:

Cover kitchen knife with cloth and gently pry the air-bag light out: (do not pull out all the way, it is connected with wires in the back)

The four (4) clips of the air-bag light are pictured above. This should help you place your knife while prying.

Step 6:

Step 7:

Remove the exposed screws with your torx head screwdriver: (Remember to always cover your knife with the cloth when prying, I got over anxious and caused a little nick in the fascia, indicated by the smaller arrow) :o( - I fixed it later though.

Cover kitchen knife with cloth and gently pry the fascia off:

Step 8:

Cover kitchen knife with cloth and gently pry the hazzard light tab over the radio clip:

This will release the fascia entirely. Just pull straight out and rest on top of dash, remember not to pull the air-bag light or the hazzard light out all the way. This exposes four (4) screws that hold the radio in, remove them with your torx head screwdriver.

Step 9:

Check to see if A/C vent arms were accidentally disconnected in step 8:

To remedy, just reconnect this ball-joint. Check both sides.

To release antenna connections lift these tabs and pull connectors straight out.

To release main harness just pull up on the 90 Deg. Clip and pull straight out. (reverse of Step 3)

Gently and slowly pull the RCD 500 radio out all the way and set aside: Sit back and admire the large open hole you have just created in your Tig. :o) Go and get the RNS 510!

Step 12:

Connect Tigs Wire Harness to RNS 510:

If you have the TV-in-Motion, connect the wire harness pictured at left to this TV-in-Motion connector above. If not, connect the wire harness pictured at left directly to the back of the RNS 510.

The TV-in-Motion wires are pretty long so I wrapped it around the Main Harness and used a black zip tie to secure.
