Dear Search Committee, This letter is written in enthusiastic support of Stacie Jenkins' candidacy for a position in student advising. I have had the honor and benefit of interacting with Stacie through multiple role relationships, including as her faculty advisor in her graduate program of study, as faculty for a number of her graduate level courses, and as a university colleague. In each of these capacities, I have had the opportunity to experience the breadth and depth of Stacie's skills, her contributions to student learning and success, and her strong investment in colleagues and institutional outcomes. In particular, Stacie has consistently demonstrated strength in all aspects of supporting student learning and success. She is a natural educator, advisor, and coach. In her graduate cohort, Stacie provided direct support for each member's degree progress while also facilitating individual meaning making and cross program insights. Stacie also served as coach for many of her peers, offering the right balance of challenge and support that allowed each individual to achieve academic and career aspirations. She continues to be highly regarded by the group and is often the first person called to celebrate a new success. Likewise, Stacie contributed in significant ways to the work of Pacific's Center for Social and Emotional Competence and the university Legal Scholars program. With each of these centers, Stacie collaborated with faculty, staff, and students to produce learner-centered curriculum, research and related publications, and relevant learning experiences for students and other members of the campus community. Stacie's well developed writing skills received on-going recognition from members of both centers. Finally, in her role as Admissions Advisor, Stacie served as a guide and advisor to prospective students navigating the increasingly complex decision process associated with college choice. Students who ultimately came to Pacific speak fondly of Stacie, the balanced perspective that she provided, and the investment that she made in supporting the best outcome for each of them. She also has the full respect of her colleagues who value the integrity and accountability that she brings to her practice. Obviously, I think the world of Stacie and am confident that she will impact student learning and institutional outcomes in multiple, positive micro and macro ways. I would welcome the chance to discuss this recommendation and Stacie's qualifications
