The dung beetle is an insect . There are thousands of species of dung beetles .

DUNG BEETLES EAT DUNG FROM ALL DIFFERENT KINDS OF ANIMALS SO THEY ARE OMNIVORES.THEY EAT POO P AND D E CAY E D PLANTS.THE DUNG BEETLE CAN EAT 250 TIMES IT S WAIT IN ONE NIGHT.

They can be from 0.04inches to 2.4inches.The heaviest dung beetle ever weighed 3.5oz.

The dung beetle can be found everywhere accept Antarctica. It doesnt have a specific habitat. You could find one in your back yard!!!

Dung beetle babies are called larvae. They give birth by rolling up balls of dung and lay eggs in them, that way the eggs do not get squashed.

Most dung beetles live for about 3 years

Dung beetles are very weird. They live in the dung balls they roll up or in tunnels. Dung is the only thing they eat besides decayed plants. I do not think you would want a family of these in your yard. They can also be helpful because they are basically tiny recyclers.
