GENERAL ARRANGEMENT PROJECT

Using the given guidelines and references, students are required to prepare General Arrangement drawing. This project, student need to comply with requirement below: Submission: GA A3 drawing (softcopy and hardcopy) Reference drawing of basis ship (hard copy and softcopy) Due date: Thursday, 4th October 2012 by 10.00pm Every group need to do a group presentation about the GA Though groups are allowed to do a copycat practice (from basis GA drawing), every part in the GA drawing should have technical justification/ reason. Presentation should cover technical part requirements in completing the GA including how to: Determine frame spacing, watertight bulkhead, collision bulkhead, after bulkhead, number of transverse bulkhead and double bottom. Determine engine room spaces and other related machineries Determine volume and dimension of fuel oil tank, fresh water tank, lubricant oil tank, etc Determine the cargo spaces/ capacity (if any) Accommodate cabin, access area and safety requirement. Bridge/ wheelhouse And other related items. Presentation session will be conducted on 10 th October 2012 (during class) Every group members need to involve in the presentation because marks will be given on individual basis.
