Organizations today are designed by men of yesterday or the day before, basically the elderly models of organization structure which are hierarchical, authoritarian, structured like the military and church. People of today generation Y are those who will staff such companies. So its a misfit.
What is Generation Y?
Individuals born in the twenty years between 1980-2000. Also called Millenial Generation. And the New Generation. Basic fact that define and describe this generation-size, racial and ethnic patterns, life expectancy, level of education. Across the globe this generation shares important commonalities, shaped by citizenship in a global, wired world.
The corporation as we know it which is now 120 years old, is not likely to survive the next 25 years. Legally and financially yes but not structurally and economically
