Fansler Period 5 Trivial Essay The seed collides with the branches at an elevation of 100 feet high. It crashes with twigs leaves and bark roughly, trying to desperately reach the ground. It continues to strive for conception with the fertile soil but its overall chance is rather slim. The immense energy that fills the little thing is lost halfway through the art of reaching the ground. Once it clashes with the membrane that protects the ground, the twigs and other residue that also fell to the earth must be pushed away from the face of the seed. It is a critical step as it wiggles side-to-side being moved by the wind. Many living things must go through this start where the beginnings are unclear and there is no better way of putting it other than survival of the fittest. Once its face is connected to the earth, they become one. The fight of all fights has been overcome and now it is dependent on the soil and minerals that surround it. The seeds only worry is if Mother Earth will feed it properly or if Mother will allow harm to come upon the feeble thing. It can only hope, and it hopes well, it soon begins to sprout tiny veins grasping at the insides of the womb. As the days continue the seed grows stronger and stronger, it is different to the point of being unrecognized from its beginnings. What once started as a seed with an uncertain future is now a fetus-like bud with roots that will forever connect it with its mother. The seed has come a long way and in nature is no longer recognized as seed but is now a young branch

developing at an indefinite rate that is unique from its siblings. Its mother will always hold a special place for this little one and will protect it as much as she can. This bond will proof strong as exterior forces try to break them apart and fail. As the sprout matures it strives to become independent of its mother to prove itself to the world. Day by day it takes from Mother and claims it as its own. Over the years it becomes a small tree with seeds of its own and looks around to ensure that it falls in a place where the seeds will also become fruitful. It is a cycle that will repeat itself again and again for as long as Mother Earth chooses to carry the seed.
