Downloading Wordpress
1. Download Wordpress to your campus computer: -http://wordpress.org/latest.zip 2. Once downloading is complete, double click the file in your Downloads folder, or right click and select Open

After the Wordpress files have opened, select all the files and copy, then go to Applications and open Fetch -A New Connection screen will appear -For Hostname enter: web.ics.purdue.edu -For Username enter: your career account username -For Connect Using select: SFTP -For Password enter: your career account password 4. Scroll down and open your www folder by double clicking 5. Create a new folder for your Wordpress files, naming it wordpress 6. Paste your Wordpress files into your new wordpress folder 1
2. In a new tab, create your new MySQL acccount -https://www.purdue.edu/apps/ics/a/MySQLAccount 3. Create a password that is different from your career account password 4. Click 5. Go to your new webpage -http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~yourcareeraccount/wordpress 6. Installing Wordpress
1. Have your webpage open: -http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~yourcareeraccount/ 2. To get started with the installation, click -if you have an error message, you will first need to click 3.
