26 Oktober 2013 - Entrepreneurship seminar was held in Dewan Tunku Ibrahim Ismail (UTHM) at 8.00 am until 5.00 pm.

This seminar was organized by Business and Entrepreneurship Centre (CBER) of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. More than 300 students are participated in this seminar. Those are involved in this seminar is that the students are enrolled on BPK 20802 (entrepreneur) subject. This seminar is to expose student about the skill to earn money and the step to start a business. There are two session of this seminar. The first session of this seminar was handled by the successful entrepreneurs. Tn. Hj. Ahmad bin Abd. Rahman was the selected entrepreneurs are involved on this seminar. Tn. Hj. Ahmad is the owner Patmah Food Industries Sdn. Bhd. There are two branches under this company, which is Patmah Kitchen and Roti Master (Patmah Cookies). He tells us about the background and how he start the business. He start a business from RM 200 to make a cookies business until he get a higher profit on 4.5 million in a year. These entrepreneurs have been sharing some experience and tips to be a successful businessman. He also had established their own business until at Hong Kong market.

At 2.30 pm, second session started. On this session, the officer was talk about the offer that the company can give to the new businessman. There were three company that are involved in this session. The company is Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) , Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) and Pemodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB). Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) were helping entrepreneurs about business loan and provide a

training for the new entrepreneurs. For entrepreneurs that have their own business, they can get some helps from Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) to expand an existing business. As the premier investment organization in Malaysia, PNB has for over two decades, been actively involved in helping shape the national economy through the cultivation of Bumiputera and Malaysian professionals in the field of investment and financial management. With this seminar, students can get many useful information about business. Hopefully this information will be useful for students in the future.
