Jabel Hafeet wildlife


A program has been launched on April 2012 by EAD called Assessment Monitoring Program in Jabel Hafeet and its valleys to study and monitor the wildlife in that area. Jabel Hafeet located in the UAE near Oman borders. This place is historical, archeological and rich with wildlife. Infra-red cameras, pitfall traps and Sherman traps has been used to detect the motion of the unique insects, birds and mammals and record them. They have recorded about 315 kinds of invertebrates and most of those kinds found a lot between August, September and November.
