Ethical behaviour when establishing job related standards and objectives. Employees must be informed about what is expected of them and the
standards against which they will be evaluated at the beginning of the performance cycle.

Holding managers accountable for discussing performance issues

Performance standards need to be reliable and standardised. Performance standards need to be fair and just (the measures of
performance must not be contaminated or deficient).
