Rubric for Rhythm Final

Students will be assessed on their ability to site a one-measure rhythm in 4/4 time. Students will be assessed in the elements of -Steady tempo -Rhythmic Accuracy -Correct Syllables -Speaking and clapping ability Objective: Students will be able to clap and say rhythms with steady tempo, correct rhythm, and correct syllables. Students will demonstrate this through a performance of a one-measure bar written in 4/4 time.

4 Points Student used steady tempo always.

3 Points Student used steady tempo usually.

2 Points Student used steady tempo sometimes.

1 Point Student used steady tempo rarely.

Student performed rhythm with 100-85% accuracy.

Student performed rhythm with 85-70% accuracy.

Student performed rhythm with 70-55% accuracy.

Student performed rhythm with less than 55% accuracy.

Student used correct syllables always.

Student used correct syllables usually.

Student used correct syllables sometimes.

Student used correct syllables rarely.

Student spoke and clapped always.

Student spoke and clapped usually.

Student spoke and clapped sometimes.

Student spoke and clapped rarely.
