ENDERS ISOLATION

From the beginning of the book, Ender is being isolated. As a Third, he doesnt belong and is different from everyone else. Also, his monitor made other kid jealous which relates to what happens in battle school.

Again, Ender is pointed out as special. Being different leads to the other launchies feeling jealous and having a common hatred towards Ender. This is the first example of Ender being isolated in battle school.

ENDER KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENING THE MOMENT THEY BROUGHT HIM IN. EVERYONE HAD EXPECTED HIM TO GO COMMANDER EARLY. (PAGE 155)

In this part of the book, Ender is being isolated yet again due to his superiority. This time, he loses the only friends he had begun to make and they become his enemies.
