What the role involves

This will be the fifth year that ACUMEN is looking to recruit a placement student and it promises to be an exciting and varied role, providing invaluable experience for the successful candidate. The main duties are to carry out legal research, assist lawyers in their work, being involved in the firms marketing activities and assisting in managing and maintaining the overall administration of the firm. The successful candidate will work closely and report to the Office Manager, and will also work alongside the team in all aspects of the business to increase public awareness and improve profitability of the firm.

Who Should Apply?

This is a role which would ideally suit a Law or Business Studies with Law Student, looking for a placement /gap year from study. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft programmes including Word, Excel and Outlook. They should have commercial awareness and the ability to work on their own initiative in a professional and mature manner. They should also possess excellent communication skills both verbally and written and be organised with an ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
