Strengths/Weaknesses The first lesson plan is very descriptive with prior knowledge needed to make this lesson successful

and making the content relevant for students to help engage them. The second lesson plan does a good job of following the example/non-example method but is not very descriptive on how it will carry this out in the actual lesson. Aspects Connected to Model Both lessons use example and non-examples which is the primary technique used in this model in order to build knowledge. Both lesson plans also use prior knowledge to help form new relationships and concepts. Both lessons also allow student to form hypotheses based on the examples and non-examples in order to develop critical thinking and be able to test what they think is being formed between these concepts. Deviations The first lesson use pairs of student to work together to identify examples and non-examples used in the lesson plan. What I Would Do I think both of these lesson plans do a good job of performing the concept attainment model and the only thing I would add would be to allow students to give feedback as to how they identified examples and non-examples so different students could see multiple ways of looking at the situation.
