To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Shannon Steinert. I was Shannons
cooperating teacher during the fall 2014 semester at Discovery Middle School. Shannon completed eight
weeks of student teaching in my seventh grade language arts classroom.
During Shannons student teaching experience, she was punctual, professional, highly motivated,
organized, creative, and helpful. She was always willing to accept constructive criticism and to use that
feedback to improve as an educator. She also worked very diligently to build relationships with both the
faculty and students here.
Shannon has many strengths as an educator. She did an outstanding job with classroom management
and adapting under pressure. She also adapted very quickly to making accommodations for students
with special needs. She became very involved in campus life and even served as a mentor for many of
the students.
In conclusion, Shannon displayed many of the qualities that she will need to be a successful teacher in
the future. Her performance in my classroom was equal to that of a veteran teacher. Therefore, I highly
recommend her for a teaching position.
Sincerely,

Caroline Miller
