Fleetwood Mac Biography

Fleetwood Mac is a British Band formed in 1967. The band is made up of four members John McVie a British bass guitarist , Mick Fleetwood who is a British actor, musician and drummer, Stevie Nicks who is an American singer-songwriter and Lindsey Buckingham is an American musician, singer and songwriter. Lindsey Buckingham is also a solo artist and in Fleetwood Mac he is best known as a guitarist and male vocalist. Together Fleetwood Mac had forty Top 50 hits and have sold over 140 million albums. Fleetwood Mac have released 41 albums and have sold over 140 million copies. Fleetwood Mac was a massive hit in the UK and the spent over a year in the top ten. And their main reason for this was because Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and John Mcvie all became solo artists. The name Fleetwood Mac is a combination of Mick Fleetwood and john McVies name the name was originally Peter Green-led Fleetwood Mac. Which over time became Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood Mac is a multi award winning band they have been nominated for a Grammy award five times and in 1978 they won a Grammy award for the category album of the year for their album rumours. Fleetwood Mac won the rock and roll hall of fame in 1998 and they had been nominated for the American Music awards seven times and successfully won one in 2003, and two in 1978. Michael John Kells Fleetwood otherwise known as Mick Fleetwood was born 24 June 1947 in Redruth, Cornwall, he is a British musician, drummer and actor. In 1967 Mick Fleetwood developed the band Fleetwood Mac. With inspiration from his name and John McVies name they came up with the name Peter Green-led Fleetwood Mac. Which Over time became Fleetwood Mac. When Mick was 13 his father bought him a drum kit and Mick Fleetwood taught himself to play the drums by listening to records mainly by the Everly brothers, Cliff Richard and the Shadows. John Graham McVie was born on the 26 November 1945 he is a British bass guitarist best known as a member of rock groups John Mayall, the Bluesbreakers and Fleetwood Mac. His surname combined with Mick Fleetwood, was the inspiration for the band's name. Stephanie Lynn Nicks is an American singer-songwriter, who is also the solo singer in Fleetwood Mac she has produced over forty Top 50 hits and sold over 140 million albums. Stevie Nicks was put on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. She has one eight Grammy award nominations with her solo singing and five with Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nicks was named one of the top 100 Greatest Soloists of All Time. Lindsey Adams Buckingham was born on the 3rd of October 1949 he is an American, musician, singer and songwriter he is the male vocalist and guitarist in the band Fleetwood Mac since 1975. Lindsey Buckingham was ranked in the 100 greatest guitarists of all time in 2011. Lindsey Buckingham has also released six solo albums and three live albums and he was introduced into the rock and roll hall of fame in 1998.
