PITCH The music in this advertisement has a minor tonality.

Although it is played in a minor tonality there is still a happy and adventurous feeling to the music. Many intervals were used in the composing of this song. Some of which are semitones, tones and perfect fourths.

TIME This piece was written in 4/4 time. The music lasted for approximately fifty four seconds. It was performed at a moderate speed moderato (between andante and allegro). The melody and counter-melody were played in quaver and semiquavers to make it sound more like a fun adventure.

TEXTURE The song starts in a monophonic texture when the drum set plays alone. It then goes to a polyphonic texture when the melody and chord progression join in. A polyphonic texture is maintained when the double bass starts to play. The fiddle is then played while accompanied by the drum set which plays polyphonic rhythms. All parts are then played again followed by a next part where the fiddle is played while being accompanied by the drum. All parts are then played again.

DYNAMICS A loud volume is maintained throughout the music in this advertisement. In my opinion this dynamic is used to enhance the feeling of excitement that you have when exploring the features of a new device that you have never seen before.

TIMBRE Various instruments were used in the making of this advertisement. Such instruments are the drum set, the fiddle, the guitar and the double bass. Two fiddles were actually used to make this advertisement one played with a bow and one played pizzicato. The fiddle that was being plucked was used to play the melody while the one that was being played with a bow was used to play the counter-melody. The double bass was used to play the root notes in the music. The guitar played the chord progression and the drum set was used not only to give the music a fuller sound, but also to help in maintaining the cheerfulness of the music.

FORM The form of the music in this advertisement is ternary form. This is so because it goes from part A, to part B, then back to part A (ABA). STYLE The music in this commercial has an American country style. The fiddle is played like a banjo which is very common in the country-side of America.
