The object is to create a checkerboard pattern from the puzzle pieces. The solution is on the back page so dont peek.

Checkerboard Puzzle

Cut the pieces from 1/4 ply. I used a Sharpie permanent marker to color the black squares. I sprayed all the pieces with a light coat of lacquer before I colored the squares and this helped prevent the ink from bleeding. Use a straight edge to keep things neat.
