Courtney Beavers Math 1020 A: Do the answers on the last two questions agree? What does that mean?

What have you learned from this project?

! The answers do agree with each other, when you add up the grams of the 25.6% solution with the 5.7% solution it equals 83 grams. When you nd how many grams are in a 8.3% solution in 1000 mL it is also 83 grams. It is the same because when you are adding the two solutions together its is making an 8.3% solution of 1000 mL, so it is no different because the two solutions you are adding doesnt lose how many grams that it has they add together. I learned that you can nd how many grams are in a solution two different ways other than that it was just kind of the same thing we have been doing. It did make me more condent that I can do this for my test.

B: Is Medical Math more important than a passing grade? Why or Why Not?
! Yes, medical math is a very important tool. Especially for nursing because they use this kind of math in their eld everyday. At rst I thought it was the easiest math I had ever been so I started slacking off but it does get harder and it is one of the most useful math classes that I have ever taken because you do use this math in everyday life even if you arent a nurse. You can use it in many different things like cooking, because it teaches you how to convert measurements. It also helped me with my chemistry class.

C: Does a group project in a math class help you understand the course materials better? Why or Why Not? !
I didnt do this project in a group but I have done other math projects in groups. I think that it does help out a lot to do math projects or even just homework in groups because if you dont understand something you dont have to try and gure it out for yourself and hope that it is right because you have other people there that may know what is going on. Even if they dont know they can help you gure it out as well.
