BLUMSHAPIRO VOLUNTEERS AND OTHERS PREPARE THANKSGIVING BAGS OF FOOD

WHAT: More than 50 BlumShapiro employees, their families and other volunteers prepare bags of donated food for the BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for Christian Community Action. The food being sorted and bagged on this day represents the month-long collection efforts of New Haven-area businesses, churches, schools and other organizations. This community-wide effort will help Christian Community Action provide a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal to more than 2,300 families and seniors in New Haven. ADDITIONAL NOTES: All donations to the BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for Christian Community Action, along with turkeys, will be given to New Haven residents Monday Wednesday, November 25 27 at Casa Community Center, 148 Sylvan Avenue, New Haven.
