Hello Mrs.

Rebecca ENGL 1101-068 August, 21st 2013

Ill start introducing my self, my name is Mohammad Albusairi, born and raised in Kuwait and turned 18 last Feb. Im an international student. My first language is Arabic. Im interested in everything that is related with speed (Cars and Motorcycles etc.). My major is Civil engineering but Im thinking of changing it to mechanical engineering. Im a big fan of FUN and fun in my dictionary is (Doing everything that makes me happy while others are happy too). Im the youngest in my family, my family includes (My father, my mother a sister and a brother) three children in total. I was always under my parents responsibility and I had never done anything by my self except my homework. Everything changed in summer 2010, I was 15 years old and my father decided to sent me to a summer camp in Germany by my self to learn how to be independent. It really worked so my father sent me again in summer 2011. At that time I learned a lot of being responsible of my self and I felt that I have grew up too.

Education means everything to my parents, as what my father usually tells me if you want to succeed in life you have to be well educated, all other non-educated successful people are just exceptions. So since I was in mid-school, I was only doing my best in my studies to please my parents and to make them proud of me. When I started going to high school I started not to pay attention a lot because I just wanted to enjoy my life so my grades werent as good as they were before. But when I started my senior year my father gave my an effective speech that made me a different person, he knew that my dream was to study abroad in the US and he told me that I will never go to the US to study if I continued preforming that way in high school. I had the mixed of feelings, being stressed, excited, disappointed and a I had a strong desire to do better. I had

graduated with a good GPA and got a scholarship to study either abroad or in my country, and I chose to study in the US.

Everything changed in my life when I got my scholarship, which was last year. Ive stayed almost a year in Tallahasse FL studying English at Florida State University FSU but I ended up choosing UNCC for their good engineering school. Being an international student in the US wasnt as easy as I expected. I have to face all of my difficulties and problem by my self and thats not an easy thing, minor problems are major problems to international students. For example, some American students claims that ENGL 1101 is not an easy class, well what would you do if English wasnt even your first language, same with all other classes except Arabic :D. I know that these couple years wont be easy, but I will do my best in every course to get good grades.

I think that this is everything about me, I hope you enjoyed readying my life story. Im sorry again for missing the class on Monday.

Albusairi, Mohammad
