Students will then have time to gather pictures or texts that convey the emotion they have chosen to represent. They will trim them to fit on the given piece of paper. 4. Students will place them on the paper (without glue) to be able to position the pieces and move them around if needed. After I have discussed their piece with them, the students will be able to finalize. I will take a Polaroid shot of their unglued piece so that they can recreate it when gluing down their pieces. 5.Students will glue down the items that they have chosen for their piece. The students will then have the option to add other mediums (paints, crayons, markers, etc.) to their pieces until they feel that their piece is done. 6. Once each student is able to complete their piece, each student will leave it at their desk place and get the proper amount of critique tokens. They will then go around the room and vote for the one they see fits the tokens the best. They can reflect on their peers pieces and see how their peers see their piece. Closure (Reflecting Anticipatory Set): The token response critique.

How will you adapt the various aspects of the lesson to differently-abeled students? I can find alternative reading based on the students reading levels, still have them over the same topic. Have the students reflect on their books and then share with the class. Then the class can compare and contrast the different readings. What opportunities/activities will students be given to revise and improve their understandings and their work? I will want to talk through the pieces of the students work, and see what direction they are headed in, and maybe talk through the process if they are needing more help to get started or change their idea. What opportunities/activities will you provide for students to share their learning in this lesson? Through reflections and class discussion and art critique token activity.
