EXT. SUBURBS-MORNING The sun is rising. The camera PANS across a street full of nice middle class homes and Christmas decorations. The neighborhood is quiet and serene. The camera captures the essence of the Christmas season. EXT. CREST VIEW ACADEMY-DAY High School students of all ages are entering and exiting the front of the school. People are talking, laughing, and socializing all around. THE BELL RINGS, and students begin running to their classes. INT. CREST VIEW GYM-DAY BELLONA GARCIA walks into the gym with a timid demeanor. She has on jeans and a white short sleeve shirt. The first person she sees is the PE Teacher. COACH P Good morning! Whats your name? BELLONA Bellona. COACH P Im Coach P. I will write your name down on my attendance list, OK? Have a seat and I will be giving instructions shortly. I want to give the rest of the class a little more time to show up. Bellona finds a spot in the corner by the bleachers. She sits down quietly and doesn't say a word. Shes nervous. In walks JASER SPENCE. He is the schools newest athlete and he is wearing gym shorts and a T-shirt with the school logo on it. He walks up to the teacher. JASER Morning, Coach P! How are you today? COACH P Cant complain son. I see youre in the Christmas spirit. I want you to bring that same energy to the court and on that field. You hear me? JASER Yes, Coach.

Jaser walks to the bleachers and sits down. He takes out his cell phone and starts playing Temple Run. More students arrive to class, all dressed in the same uniform attire. The last person to walk is LILO JONES. He sits down on the bleachers. COACH P Today I am giving you all a Free Day, which means you have a choice between any of the board games, basketball, football, volleyball, or tennis. If you want to sit in the corner and text and Instagram or whatever you kids do these days, you can do that too. Or, you can just do nothing at all I dont really care, today is your free day. A few minutes before the bell rings put up all the equipment and have a nice Christmas Break. Lilo dashes off to the ball bag and grabs a ball. The students all start playing different games and socializing all over the gym. Bellona stays in the corner on the bleachers and is looking around. Jaser is playing basketball with other students as well as his teammate MANNY. Their team is losing and there is only two minutes until class is over. INSERT: SCOREBOARD TIMER COUNTING DOWN FROM 2:00 Both teams are playing man to man. The opposing team shoots the ball but misses. Manny gets the rebound and holds it, to give his team time to regroup. He runs down court straight past his defender, down the middle of the court. He is open. Jaser signals for the ball, as Manny is looking around the court. He realizes hes open, then he turns to Jaser. JASER Manny! Im open! Pass me the ball! Manny looks at the rim, then at the shot clock, and stops on Jaser. He passes him the ball and Jaser takes the shot. He misses just as the timer runs out. The BELL RINGS.

EXT. CREST VIEW ACADEMY-DAY Students are leaving the school, and are dispersed in different areas on campus. Some students are waiting for carpool, some are getting on busses, some are walking, some are driving, etc. Lilo is standing by the sidewalk. A black stretch limo pulls up in front of him and he hops in. Jaser is in the carpool area.

ANN SPENCE pulls up in a Mid-Sized SUV. Jaser gets in the car. His younger sister is in the back seat. INT. CAR-DAY ANN SPENCE How was school today, baby? JASER It sucked. ANN SPENCE Itll be OK honey. Im sure whatever is bothering you wont even phase you tomorrow... Sweetie I need you to watch your sister for me tonight. Can you do that?.. JASER Yeah.. B-u-u ANN SPENCE (cuts him off) Without complaining? JASER Yes Mom. ANN SPENCE You know Christmas is around the corner. I suggest you be nice. Naughty wont get you any good gifts, now will it? JASER Nope. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. BUS STOP-DAY Bellona walks up to the bus stop, then sits down. She looks to her left and notices a magazine on the bench, and picks it up. She is looking through the magazine, and comes across a TRENDY FRAMES AD. The stares at the page for a few moments. She looks up and sees the bus down the street. She rips the page from the magazine and pulls out four quarters. The bus pulls up in front of her, and she gets on. CUT TO:

INT. LIMOSINE-DAY Lilo is watching the TV that is in the back of the Limo. sees a commercial for Trendy Frames, and falls in love. LILO Man, I gotta get those. Driver, can you please stop at the nearest mall? DRIVER What for may I ask? LILO Im gonna get these new glasses that just came out. Theyre called Trendy Frames and theyre pretty awesome. DRIVER Your mother insisted that I take you straight home today. Its not my decision. Im sorry. LILO Whatever, just take me home then. DISSOLVE TO: INT. BELLONAS HOUSE- AFTERNOON Bellona enters the front door. Upon entering she can smell dinner, and hear her grandmother playing music. ABUELA Bellona! Get ready for dinner. Bellona goes into the bathroom as washes her hands. She knows the financial situation, so she is hesitant to tell her grandmother. After she is done in the bathroom, she heads back to the kitchen, then sits at the table. BELLONA How was your day Abuelita? ABUELA Just fine, sweetheart. How are you feeling? Whats on your mind that you arent telling me? BELLONA Well... He

Bellona looks at her grandmother in the eyes, but she cannot muster up the courage to ask for the glasses. BELLONA (CONTD) Im feeling fine, its nothing at all. Bellona finishes up her plate of food. Once she is done she puts the dishes in the sink. She takes the Trendy Frames ad out of her pocket and throws it away. It is sitting on top of all the other trash in the trash can. She walks out of the kitchen, to her room. Her grandmother is cleaning up the kitchen and notices the ad in the trash. She picks up the ad, stares at it for a moment, picks up the telephone and starts dialing. FADE TO: INT. LILOS HOUSE-MORNING Lilo is first to wake up in his house. He gets out of bed and runs downstairs to the Christmas Tree. It is loaded, with everything on his wish list, and then some. He runs to his mothers room and wakes her up. They both go back to the tree and start opening gifts. The doorbell RINGS. Lilos mother gets up and answers the door. Its Milo Jones, Lilos father. He enters wearing dark wash fitted jeans with a freshly pressed white button down, topped with a navy blue blazer, and matching navy blue dress shoes. Its obvious that he recently went to the barber. In his right hand was special gift, on his left side stood a guitar case that stretched to Milos waistline. LILO Dad! He runs to his father and gets a big hug. He hugs him as if he misses him, and hasnt seen him in a while. MILO JONES I missed you too, kiddo. I have a surprise for you. Milo pulls out a glasses case, with sleek and modern finishing touches, it is black. MILO JONES (CONTD) Are these the Trendy Frames you wanted?

LILO Yes! Thanks so much dad! This has to be the best Christmas ever. DISSOLVE TO: INT. JASERS HOUSE-MORNING Jaser is awakened by the sound of his younger sisters voice. She is SCREAMING and jumping around, with excitement written all over her face. Jaser gets out of bed and goes into the bathroom. He brushes his teeth, washes his face, then goes into the living room with the rest of his family. INT. LIVING ROOM-MORNING Jaser is watching his little sister open gifts while his mother is SNAPPING endless amounts of pictures. She looks over at him and notices he is not opening any gifts. ANN SPENCE Hey Jay, there is a special gift waiting for you right over in that corner. She points in the direction of a small red box with Jasers name on it. Jaser walks over to the box, picks it up, takes a good look at it, then gives it a shake. INSERT: FOR JASER Jaser opens the box, then immediately realizes that it contains Trendy Frames. JASER (with excitement) Thanks so much Mom. This is exactly what I wanted. I love you so much. ANN SPENCE No problem honey, I love you too. Just make sure you take care of them. You are a good boy, youve earned it. INT. BELLONAS HOUSE-MORNING Bellona wakes up. She is laying in the bed and looking around. She gets up and takes a nice stretch. She follows the smell of breakfast into the kitchen. Her grandmother is cooking over the stove.

BELLONA Good Morning Abuela. Merry Christmas. ABUELA Merry Christmas to you too sweetie. I have a surprise for you. Bellonas grandmother hands her a small white box. Bellona takes the box. As she is opening the box... ABUELA (CONTD) I saw that paper you threw away the other day, so I decided to get you something nice. BELLONA Abuela you really are the best. She gives her grandmother a big hug, and a kiss on the cheek. BELLONA (CONTD) I love these glasses! This is exactly what I wanted. Gracias Abuela. ABUELA Denada, my love. Bellona walks back into her room and sits on her bed. First, she takes the glasses out of the sleek box. She notices her name engraved on the right side of the glasses. She puts the glasses on and they light up with a bright florescent light green color. She is looking around, then suddenly she vanishes from her bedroom floor. INT. JASERS ROOM-DAY Jaser is sitting on his bed. He takes the glasses out of the box. He examines them and notices his name engraved in the right side. He puts them on, then begins to play in the mirror in his closet door. JASER (sports commentator voice impression) ...we got Jaser Spence coming down the court. Looks like weve got an isolation play. Number 24 on defense. He goes up for the 3 point shot, and he scores!

The glasses start lighting up and Jaser starts looking around. He vanishes. INT. LILOS ROOM-DAY Lilo is laying on his bed. To the right of him is a fan blowing directly on his face, and a bag of chips and a soda on his night stand. His new Ipad is laying beside him, it is paused on the Temple Run game. They glasses are on the bed beside him. He is half asleep, and full on junk food. As he dozes off to sleep he grabs the glasses and puts them on. He closes his eyes and the glasses light up. He vanishes.
