August 2, 2013 Principal Address

Dear Principal, Hello, my name is Carina Dean and I am a recent graduate from Manhattan College. I have just received my Masters degree in Special Education. I am most interested in teaching early elementary (K-2nd), but would also looking forward to gaining experience in teaching upper elementary children. I have had experience teaching in an urban setting, as my student teaching placement was in the South Bronx at PS 294 and PS 64. As a career changer, I have made the decision to follow my passion for working with children. There have been several teachers throughout my education that have made an impact on my character and overall outlook on life. I aspire to be a role-model and guide for my future students. My goal is to be an effective and positive student teacher, and I hope that my positive attitude and outgoing personality will add an extra bit of fun and vivacity to the classroom.
