Munroe Sports 8698 Quadra St. Victoria, BC V6C 4T8 Mason Munroe (250) 888-1234 Dear Editor: A survey of 875 non hockey-playing families in Canada was conducted to better understand why they don't play the game and one of the top reasons given was, affordability. Here at Munroe Sports we share the same values as Canadian families and we also believe in giving back to the local community. For the past five years on the last weekend of every November, Munroe Sports has been organizing and hosting a road hockey tournament fundraiser event to help fund under privileged kids pay for hockey. A surprise hometown hockey hero will be hosting the tournament. There will be current and former NHL players in attendance for autograph sessions and also to cheer on the teams. The puck drops on the Saturday morning and games will be played through out the day and continued on till Sunday evening. The Championship game is held Sunday night and will included a special guest referee. All games will be played on the adjacent streets surrounding Munroe Sports. I think your readers would be especially interested in our annual Hockey Tournament Fundraiser at Munroe Sports. It will be held the weekend of November 23rd & 24th. We were thinking it would be a great opportunity for you to do a feature story and even come on down to join in on the fun!
