The teacher will then ask the students what kind of shapes they see in the picture. Learning Design: (Activity)

The teacher will show a picture of a scene that the students have seen before. The teacher will then ask for her students to tell her what shapes they see in the picture. Then the teacher will show the students a second picture of a scene that the students are unfamiliar with. She will then ask if they can see any shapes in this picture. The activity will start with the teacher passing out a worksheet that has an outline of a picture that is made with shapes. The students will be given tangrams and have to match up each shape to what is on the worksheet to complete the 3D picture. Once they have completed the picture puzzle the students will then draw on the back of the worksheet what shapes they used to complete the picture.

Assessment
While the are completing the picture worksheet the teacher will walk around and observe the students progress while also giving any assistance needed. The final assessment is to grade the students progress and work of the worksheet.

Closure To conclude the lesson the students will then recreate the pictures they saw at the beginning of the lesson with using only shapes.
