Dear Colleagues, I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Mr. Joshua Roach to those persons seeking a welltrained and dedicated young educator. I have had the pleasure of knowing Josh, in a professional capacity this past semester as his Student Teaching Supervisor. During this time, I have found him to be highly motivated and very capable. He is an individual of honesty and integrity who works diligently to meet the needs of the young people he is serving. Josh is an extremely competent individual with great potential. I have found him to be a true advocate for students and the entire school community. As a person, Josh is congenial and straightforward. He is open-minded without being mindless and is honest and ethical in all his dealings. In a word, he is a very mature individual who gets along well both in difficult and pleasant situations. In addition, he not only works well with other educators and parents, but has a special gift for speaking and communicating with young people. In addition, Josh has distinguished himself as a scholar. During his previous six semesters at Miami he has been named to the Deans List or Presidents List each semester. He has also been awarded the Miami Resident Scholarship and the Ohio Teachers of Mathematics Scholarship. Josh has also served as a volunteer tutor and with the Intergenerational Mentoring Program while at Miami. During the times I have observed Josh I have found him to be creative and innovative. He brings a number of thoughts and ideas to the table. His Cooperating Teachers at Highland Elementary School have conveyed that Josh not only interacts well with them but also with the entire Grade Level Team at the school. I wholeheartedly recommend Joshua Roach to those people seeking an outstanding individual and educator. There is no doubt that he will be an asset to your institution. As a former school administrator, I feel Josh will be an asset to your school system. He is the type of young professional who has peoples best interest in mind at all times. He is an individual who takes the time and effort to make things right.

Sincerely,

Richard Hamilton Miami University Student Teaching Supervisor
