Nutrition Education Plan

NFSC 465: Community Nutrition Skill Area: Community Nutrition Assignment Title: Nutrition Education Plan and Handout What I learned: In this assignment I learned how to develop a nutrition education plan for a specific population within my personal fieldwork. In this assignment I included the rationale, target group, goals and objectives, materials needed, implementation methods, evaluation procedures and a handout that I created related to this plan. Reflection of the assignment: This assignment made me realize how challenging it can be to create a nutrition education plan within a specific target group. There are so many factors that go into creating a nutrition education plan. If these factors are not considered then this plan may turn out to be unsuccessful. This assignment made me appreciate the knowledge I received from my undergraduate courses that allowed me to complete this assignment and for future assignments. Relevance to the profession: Creating a nutrition education plan is an important part of the Nutrition and Food Science field. The skills taught from this assignment can be used in different parts of the nutrition field, whether it is clinical, community or food management. Nutrition education plans are one of the best ways to get information across by nutrition professionals and after completing this assignment I have the skills to accomplish this.
