How do you plan to implement this lesson and integrate the technology? Check all that apply:

✘ Teacher-led: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by the
teacher's direction and expectations. Learning activities are assigned to the
student and mostly practice-based.

☐ Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic
of learning and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. The
teacher facilitates the learning as the students direct their own learning processes.

☐ Problem-based (Real world problems) and/or Publishable: Students are solving problems
and completing projects to demonstrate their learning. Additionally, the projects can be shared
outside of the classroom. (Note: This objective could be reached by displaying the project on the
school’s morning newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, presenting it to another
class, or publishing it via an outside source.)

Lesson idea implementation: As students work on the lesson, the teacher should monitor the
students to make sure they are on track and assist any who have technical difficulties with the

balanced plate and performing quick exercises. Students will be assessed in a competitive state using
Kahoot! I will conclude the lesson by asking students what they were able to take away from the
information they learned on health.
Managing student learning: The tool being used for the lesson starts by asking what it means to be
healthy. Then after watching five minute video, students will then record what they have learned.
By the end of the lesson students can compete against each other in a Kahoot game. There are
multiple reflections of content within the lesson to allow students have more active learning. There
is also a build a plate game where students get to create a meal plan for the day.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL):
Students will be able to learn what it means to be healthy in various ways. There are videos both
instructional and active that allow the students to gather more knowledge on the subject. Students
will also have opportunities to discuss what they have learned and can express using text or video.
Reflective Practice:
I believe that students will build an understanding of what it means to be healthy. The use of videos,
games, assessments, and participation of what they are learning will keep the students engaged and
excited about health. All students will be able to find a way to relate to health for we all need it.
Some may better their knowledge and continue to improve their health whereas others may have a
spark lit that gets them to be active and healthy.
