This is a fun introductory activity where learners will be introduced to the lesson and let them
experience what they are supposed to learn. A humanistic theory of learning involves letting
students enjoy learning.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS IN MAKING A HEALTH CAREER PLAN?
1. Self-Assessment
- discover your personal strengths through self-assessments (values, interests,
personality, testing skills, etc.)

2. Career Exploration
- explore different career & work environments through career fairs, online
research, meetings, internships, alumni connections, professional resources
 What health careers do I want to explore?
 What will I do to explore the different health careers?
3. Decision Making
- before you decide on taking a career that works for you, you can evaluate and
narrow down your options through listing the pros and cons, comparing your
personal strengths and interests, and deciding which career fulfills both current and
future goals.

4. Plan of Action
- plan achievable goals and develop strategies to reach your goals, organize your
goals into smaller steps, identify actions for each step, utilize helpful people and
resource review and adapt your plan regularly.

The following tasks will be presented by the same groupings.
MT Group – Write a newspaper/magazine article about the need to pursue/choose a
health career.
Filipino Group – Compose a song on how health career makes a difference in
people’s lives.
English Group – Create a poster that will encourage people to choose a health
career.

The application part is also a fun and collaborative activity wherein learners are grouped
together and will be given a specific task to be done. They will have to follow the standard
procedures and guided by a generally-accepted evaluation procedure which is the rubric.

This part encourages learners to do self-evaluation as implied in the Humanistic Philosophy of


Teaching. Here, the teacher encourages students to reflect on the things they have learned
