E) In the novel,To Kill A Mockingbirg , auther harper lee wants readers to walk away with a better understanding of racism. Of the many themes relevant to today modern life , this is the primary themeof the novel ! today my theme is relevant because now there is a lot of people who criti"es other people by their coler, or where their from. My choosen theme is very important because if we would think more of not being racist everything would be different. #ee clearly underlines empha"ises illustrates this theme as the most critical crucial when for e$ample % when the &udge didn't agree with Tom (obinson that he didn't raped the girl because he was racist. #ees most prevelant obvios striking e$ample of racism is when scout is e$plaining to aticuss what a nigger lover is. )scout*, said aticcus. ) nigger lover is &ust one of those terms that don't mean anything+ like snot+nose.Its hard to e$plain+ ignorent, trashy people use it when they think some bodys favoring negroes over and above themselfes*,--.-./+-.0 lee1. This is significant because it is showing how they are racist ! don't care about anything about negroes. 2hen readers encounter this statement, they are able to connect to lees message because some people have e$perience racism in many ways in their life before.

Another prominent critical e$ample of racism is when lula is talking to scout about how negrous cant be in their church. )lula stopped, but she said,* you aint got no bussines bringin white chillin here here+ they got their church, we got our'n it is our church, aint il, misscaln,negrous cant be here* ,-3.45+63 lee1 This is noteworthy because , this is the first time scout and &enn e$perience racism first+hand. They feel like they're the ob&ects of somones elses racism, wich probably put them in a awkard position. 7erhaps lee choose to include this event in the plot to show readers that , this could happen to anyone, today people, kids for e$ample could be racist in school or other places ! this is a big problem. Also another e$ample for racism is when cal doesent get the priveledge of being the same person no matter where she is, because she has to live a double life to fit in , sometimes she would have to talk another lenguage. )its hard to say* she said. )soppose you and scout talked colored+ folks talk at home it'd be out of place. 2ouldent it8 9ow if I talked to white folks8 Theyed think I was putting on airs to beat moses.* :ut call you better* I said they don't like us* ,lee1 This is worth mentioning because sometimes people try to have 3 lifes or pretent to be somebody &ust to fit in. If somebody wouldread this..it would help them think that it is not good to do things you dont want to do &ust because people you want to with tell you it..you be yourself. The message of lee is very important because its giving us a really important message, )people should stop being racist*. This makes readers stop and think a little about it. And hoe it would be so different if people &ust dont &udge other people by their coler apearence etc. this world would

be a better and different place. Also if you apply this message you and people around you is going to be happier , and thankfull to you.
