Cooks Classroom Management Plan


Rules for classroom behavior: Arrive to class before the bell rings Computer use for classwork only No obscene language During lectures hands must be raised to speak Students are expected to join in discussions No bullying tolerated Drinks must be in bottles with caps No food allowed Do not deface desks or other school property No PDA!! (Public displays of affection) Be respectful of other students, teachers, staff, and parents
Shop rules: Safety glasses must be worn at all times Use tools for their intended purpose only No horseplay Proper attire must be worn, closed toed shoes, no loose sleeves or strings, tie long hair back Students must pass safety quiz for each piece of equipment before being allowed to use it Dont talk to anyone running a piece of equipment Report any injury, no matter how small Return tools to original location when done Unsafe practices will result in the removal from lab for the day If student repeats unsafe practices he will be asked to meet with the teacher to discuss the problems

Activities, Assignments, and Assessment: In class activities All students expected to participate equally and actively Students are encouraged to help each other solve issues Homework Expected to be turned in on time Placed on my desk at beginning of class period on due date Expected to be completed as directions imply Late homework policy Ten percent off for each day late Tests and Quizzes Written assessment will be completed individually Tests and quizzes will assess comprehension of the information taught Assessment of performance will be both individual and as a group depending on the information or task being assessed Levels of consequences: 1st offense verbal recognition of disruptive behavior, unless violation or behavior calls for referral 2nd offense second verbal warning and a letter or call home 3rd offense students will be written a detention and sent to principals office
