!he following "WP shall be followed for all personnel e#posed to ha$ards in the course of working at height% !he procedures apply to all workers who need to work at height more than & meters% 1.0 Safety While Working at Height

'll personnel shall conform to the following "WP: E(ery workplace where a person can fall more than & metres must be effecti(ely guarded% 'ny hole ) opening through which a person may fall must be effecti(ely guarded or securely co(ered% "afety means of access and egress to the working platform must be maintained% Employee must be trained on the proper usage of the Personal Protecti(e Equipment pro(ided and the ha$ards in(ol(ed% !oe boards shall be pro(ided at working platforms where applicable* to pre(ent any falling ob+ect% !here shall be a person in the (icinity eg% to support the ladder* or warning sign) barricade where appropriate at the ground le(el abo(e which work is being carried out at height% Where there is no proper foothold and handhold* personal protecti(e equipment shall be pro(ided and used eg% safety belt* safety harnesses* with proper anchorage not below the work le(el for working at height of more than & metres% ,ther safety equipment shall be pro(ided where necessary eg% safety lines* safety nets% Pro(ide safety harness or lifelines that must be used correctly% -t must be in good working condition without any indication of wear* damage or deterioration .ontractor) staff performing work at height of more than & metres shall apply a Permit-!o-Work at height from super(ising officer% !he /anager concerned must appro(e the permit before they are allowed to commence work at height% Personal protecti(e equipment (PPE) like hand* eye and head protection should be appropriate and correctly used% Personnel are not lean out and ) or o(er-reach while working from ladders and at height%
