PROJECT 1: SITE SPECIFIC INTERVENTION

In this particular project, the idea was to find a design space around campus worthy of being recognized. The task at hand was to draw focus to the space, while capturing its natural beauty. In our group, we found that this particular location has a center piece definitely worthy of attention. With the help of its natural surroundings, we converted this once forgotten space into a journey that would spark ones curiosity.

PROJECT 2:TOPOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATIONS: 3-D MODELING WITH 2-D LAYERS


In this particular project, the goal was to evaluate the way an object relates to its interior and exterior. Through several repetitive methods of building replica models of the object, each student became more understanding of the way an object comes together as a whole.

PROJECT 3: VISUAL HIERARCHY: USING MONDRIAN AS A RESOURCE

In this project, the focus of the way line, color, contrast, balance and many other factors came together to bring the masterpieces of Piet Mondrian. The objective was to create a 3D model that could represent the paintings main assets throughout all sides of the model.

PROJECT 4: WEAVING COLOR


In order to truly comprehend the way color and form work with each other, the task at hand was to create a color scheme that could rework itself into a Mondrian Painting and plaid style piece. Along with this, one had to come up with a creative stamp that could reflect three completely different patterns throughout.

PROJECT 5: ORDERING PRINCIPLES: INTERPRETATION + TRANSFORMATION

In order to learn to interpret taking the literal intentions of a painting and turn it into a relatable abstract design, one had to pick a notable piece of art and turn it into their own personal view on the painting. This was done with usage of a representative model.

PROJECT 6: THE NEO-PLASTIC: EXPANSIVE COLOR AND SPACE


In this project one had the opportunity to explore the relationship between form, space, and color. To do so while incorporating the concepts of said chosen invisible city, one could fully grasp how to link all of the factors into one.

PROJECT 7: INVESTIGATIONS IN LIGHT, SPACE, + FORM


In order to investigate different lighting goals in various locations, one had to come up with a conceptual lumination device appropriate for a particular setting. Moreover, one had to pick a material and create one unique and unforgettable piece.
