This document provides instructions for a lab exercise to analyze and design a 2D steel truss. The truss is to be analyzed using STAAD.Pro to determine support reactions, joint displacements, and member forces. The members are then to be designed according to the Indian code IS800:2007. The truss geometry, material properties, supports, loads, and analysis/design parameters are defined. Results tables are included to record the support reactions, joint displacements, member forces, code checking results, and critical design conditions.
