Prologue ( Scene opens in a small town in mexico. The sun has just gone down. The children are tucked into thier beds, with a whool blanket drawn over thier tired bodies. A fire cracing in the background, and a cool breeze blowing through the fractured wood door. uan the father packs and kisses the children on the fore head. !lara the mother watches uan as she worries for the safet" for her and the children while uan is gone.# !lara$ uan please be safe, % dont want "ou hurt. ( uan gives her a comferting grin and tells her ever"thing will be ok.# uan$ &one", keep m" girls safe. % promise % will return, and we will come back with mone" and everthing will be ok. 'od is here for "ou, he will protect "ou and the girls. (Scene fades out as uan shuts the door (uietl", the fire cracks and !lara grabs a blanket and curls up on the couch.#

Scene One (The girls wake up, tired, forgetting what happened the night before. The smell of fresh baked bread and a crisp cold morning sourrounds the air. )rost is dripping on the window and !lara is in the kitchen humming (uiet tunes.# !lara$ 'irls please wake up, breakfast is almost read". ulia$ *heres papa+ !lara$ *e will discuss this over breakfast. but jesus is wa"tching "ou and the girls from above. Scene 2 (4apa is out in the field working and picking strawberries. The sun is hot, and papa is thinking about mone", and stressing for the girls and thier mother.# 1oss$ % need 6ver"one over here. %t.s come to m" attention that "ou gu"s are not picking fast enough, and we alread" have alot of left over berries. %m sorr" to sa" the price we are pa"ing "ou per carton has gone down 7 dollars. its now a dollar per carton. 6ver"one get back to work. Scene Three: (-ama recieved a letter telling her and the girls that thier father is in jail and wont retutn home for a long time, the girls are on the couch, and thier mother is cr"ing, and worr"ing.# !lara$ )inds the gun thats held captive in the closet

(A shot is heard and the village is silent, a neighbor runs into thier house and grabs the girls and covors thier e"es as thier mother l"es dead on the cold cement floor.# :eighbor$ 'irls im sorr". !ome with me.
