My Lai Massacre Memorial Proposal

The Issue

no distinctive memorial for the massacre in the U.S. educate and bring awareness to Americans

March 16, 1968 Charlie Company ordered to execute anyone in the village, on rumors of Vietnamese guerrilla forces 500-600 women, children, and elderly brutally tortured and murdered Originally covered up before one soldier in the company came forth with truth in 1969
