Begin by introducing the echoing technique through an example: o Intro: Boom Chicka Boom Tell students that while they are performing the movement, they should be thinking of other movements they could perform to this song Once the song is finished, we could perform our own verse (Wisconsin Style) Have students break into teams of 5 to brainstorm their own verses that could be added

Students can stay seated in their chairs and still participate with their arm movements (this also will work quite well for students who have a physical disability). This will also help students to develop an understanding of personal space as they will need to stay in their own area while they rock, etc. Students are learning different ways to move their bodies (disco, cowboy styles). Have fun with this activity. The song is a little over the top, but students will have so much fun! For young students, preview information and have them try the different movements before adding the music.
