OWNERS INSTRUCTION & information

Caution; please read before first use.

Remove all foam and bubble wrap packing material from the press machine. Please wash stainless steel trays and clean/wash (without detergent)/ boil juice cloth before first use! Place juice press machine on a sturdy, level table or countertop. Legs of machine can be clamped or bolted to table for permanent installation. Be sure to support top of the press by one hand while pressing. Do not open hydraulic jack release valve more than 1 turn when lowering the bottom food tray. Never place hands or fingers in the trays while pressing. Never extend the actuating lever. Only use lever supplied with the hydraulic jack. Close hydraulic jacks valve and remove blue handle from jack when machine is not in use. NOTE: During shipping the box /press machine may travel on its side or even upside down. It is possible that air bubbles form internally in the hydraulic fluid, and unwanted air may get in the hydraulic system. For best result, open valve at the bottom of the jack turn & pump the handle 5-6 times to purge the air out. If the operation of the press/hydraulic jack feels spongy, repeat the above mentioned air purging procedure with the oil filler plug removed. The oil filler plug is located on the left side of the jacks body. It is a inch rubber plug. Gently remove the rubber plug with a blunt tipped item such as handle of teaspoon. Open the valve turn and pump the handle 6-8 full strokes. Reinstall plug. Cleaning and Care: Avoid using chlorine product on stainless steel surfaces! -Wipe upper tray with a wet cloth after each use. -To clean lower tray, use standard dish washing detergent. Never use harsh detergent! (Product containing Chlorine could attack stainless finish), -Rinse juice cloth with water after each use, wring it out and place it in the freezer to prevent bacterial growth. Cloth can/will absorb color from fruits over time; it is normal. -To clean the press machines frame simply wipe it with wet towel or use mild dish/hand soap. -Upper tray is not removable; after use clean it with wet paper towel. Reliability: The Juice Press is sturdily constructed for a lifetime of service. Its equipped with a 2 Ton/ 4000 pound rated hydraulic unit that compress and extracts pulp-free juices quickly and easily. Only the hydraulic jack has moving parts. Over time this pump can wear out and should be replaced. Replacement hydraulic unit is readily available for $15-20. Replacement jack must have the same tonnage rating. Press should not be used for anything else other than outlined in this instruction. Return policy: No refunds after 30 days of delivery. Refund is subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee, depending on condition it is received. Juice press machine must be in new /re-sellable condition, shipping cost is non- refundable. Hydraulic press operating instructions

Important! This Press machine was designed to be used in conjunction with a fruit/vegetable grinder. Fruits and vegetables must be ground into a paste consistency before placing in the press machine. 1; If a Champion grinder is used; block bottom opening with champion supplied blank cover.

This step is important!

The Champion must be used as a grinder, by simply blocking the bottom port with a blank. (see picture). Juice should stay with the pulp during the grinding process. This allows the pulp /juice to remain cool and fluid.

2; Place juice cloth on a suitable tray.

An oval shaped tray that fits under the Champions hub works great. Start with a wet cloth and grind fruits and vegetables onto the juice cloth. Note: Some juice may leak pass the blank/cover. It is normal. Use a larger tray to catch the juice - see picture!

3; Fold sides of juice cloth tightly to

enclose the paste. Make it slightly smaller than the press machines lower tray. Leave 1/4" gap between sidewalls to allow juice to flow/drain. Extra cloth laying in the tray will reabsorb juices, trim juice cloth to your personalized size.

4; Place folded cloth in the center of the lower tray. Make sure drain port is not blocked. -Place lower tray on the top of the lower press plate (on top of the jack). Note: the clear vinyl extension tube attached to the lower stainless tray can be turned in any direction to channel juice into a container or cup/ glass. Turn the tube inward if the cup/glass is placed front of the presser. turn the tube fully to the left if a cup is placed on the left side of the press.

-Use the flattened end of supplied blue lever to close hydraulic jacks release valve (located at the bottom of jack) by turning the valve clockwise (hand tighten only). -Place round end of the blue lever into the actuating arm, start operating hydraulic jack by moving the lever (pumping) in up-down motion several times. Keep hand and fingers out of the tray. -SUPPORT top of the press frame with one hand to prevent it from tipping. -Once upper and lower trays are fully compressed allow it to stand compressed for a minute, this will allow all the juice to be squeezed out. After leaving the pulp compressed for a minute, you should be able to push the handle one more time. It is ok to push hard on the lever. -After the juice stops draining, slowly open the release valve (located at the bottom of the jack) counter clockwise (no more than 1 turn) - For best result: the already compressed pulp could be re-folded to smaller size and pressed again. The smaller the folded pulp/cloth the more efficient the pressing will be. Note: Juice cloths are slightly oversized for average use, cloth can be trimmed to size to accommodate juicing loads. Start out with a smaller load, until you are familiar with the juicers operation. Please call us if you need additional cloths, also replacement cloths are also available in most fabric stores: Recommended juice cloth: We recommend using cloths that are NOT treated with chemicals and close to being natural as possible and should be made of 100% cotton. Fabric stores carry 100 % cotton cloth called: drill. This is a medium density, untreated, unbleached fabric.
