Final Analysis I think the strength of this writing assessment is that it combines both reading and writing tasks,

aiming to evaluate students integrative abilities. However, according to the results, most students felt the test questions were difficult for them to answer and did not present an ideal answer. From analyzing the result, I notice that students are able to establish the thesis of the both writing tasks; however, students lack of relative vocabulary and expressions makes the writing unsatisfying. In addition, from students feedback, two of them thought test time was not enough for them to fully develop their writing. How to fix? First of all, since student lack the relative vocabulary of the topic, next time I will provide students with some vocabulary to use for reference; meanings of the vocabulary and example sentences will be provided as well. In this way, students will be able to use this vocabulary to develop their writing. Second of all, extending the test time might be a better choice for both sections. In this way, students can feel less anxious and have enough time to develop their writing. For Section 1, explanation of some key words from the passage will be helpful for students reading and understanding as well. Finally, providing outlines or samples of both sections will help students writing. Some students are not familiar with this kind of writing test, therefore, an appropriate outline or a sample can give students a general idea about what they need to write.
