Vocabulary- Animal groups swarm= a large number of insects or other small organisms, especially when in

motion.

pack= a group of animals, such as dogs or wolves, that run and hunt together. litter= material, such as straw, used as bedding for animals. pod= a school of marine mammals, such as seals, whales, or dolphins. herd= a number of wild animals of one species that remain together as a group. army= a large number of people, animals, etc; multitude. pride= a company of lions. flock= A group of animals that live, travel or feed together. school= a large group of aquatic animals, especially fish, swimming together. colony= a group of the same kind of animals, plants living or growing together.

Animal sounds
growl= The low, guttural sound made by an animal purr= The soft vibrant sound made by a cat. shriek= A sound suggestive of such a cry. Howl= to emit a long sound. Roar= To emit a loud, deep sound, especially in distress, rage, or excitement. Hiss= to express disapproval or contempt by making this sound.
